Turner Lovell is seeking a Senior Power System Studies Expert to join a specialist consultancy and utilities team delivering projects for transmission operators and energy-sector clients worldwide.

You will lead international projects on renewable energy integration, grid stability, and security, while coaching and developing young engineers and delivering subject matter expertise to customers.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years' experience within power systems, transmission networks, system operations or grid studies.
• Strong knowledge of power system operations, security and stability.
• Hands-on experience with DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD and/or PSS/E.
• Experience performing load flow, short-circuit and dynamic stability studies.
• Knowledge of Grid Codes and grid connection compliance.
• Experience with renewable energy integration.
• Exposure to transmission system operators (TSOs) or transmission-level networks.
• Fluent English and German.

Turner Lovell is supporting an international power systems consultancy and utility team working on some of the most complex challenges facing transmission networks as they transition towards higher levels of renewable generation.

We are looking for a Senior Power System Studies Expert to join a specialist consultancy and utilities team delivering projects for transmission system operators and energy-sector clients worldwide.

This is a senior technical position focused on understanding how renewable energy can be integrated into the grid. You will be responsible for Client engagement, developing young engineers delivering subject matter expertise to customers.

The Role

You will work on international projects covering renewable energy integration, power system security, operational planning and grid stability.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Development and validation of power system models alongside coaching young engineers
• Steady-state studies, including load flow and short-circuit analysis
• EMT studies and dynamic stability studies, particularly frequency and voltage stability using PSCAD

Your Profile

We are looking for people with:

• 10+ years' experience within power systems, transmission networks, system operations or grid studies

• Experience performing load flow, short-circuit and dynamic stability studies
• Knowledge of Grid Codes and grid connection compliance

• Exposure to transmission system operators (TSOs) or transmission-level networks
• Fluent English and German

Experience with PSCAD, HVDC, IBR, grid-forming/grid-following technologies, balancing or capacity calculation would be beneficial.
