(Senior) Portfolio Manager - Global Private Credit (f / m / d)

Join us now as (Senior) Portfolio Manager – Global Private Credit in Munich within the Global Private Credit team. We invest in private credit funds, secondaries, and co-investments on behalf of Allianz and third-party clients. Since our foundation in 2007 as part of Allianz Group, we have developed into one of the world’s largest and leading indirect private debt platforms globally.

Today, our team consists of 17 international and diverse investment professionals across the US, Europe, and Asia. We are seeking a (Senior) Portfolio Manager to join our Munich office, taking a lead role in managing private credit funds, and actively sourcing and driving transactions across spanning the private credit asset class.

What you will do

• Assume full responsibility for portfolio management of Global Private Credit client mandates
• Lead transactions—including primaries, secondaries, and co-investments—through all stages, from active origination and due diligence to structuring, negotiation, and closing
• Drive platform growth by actively engaging in fundraising initiatives, building relationships with prospective and existing investors, and representing the firm in client pitches, RFPs, etc
• Represent the Global Private Credit team in client meetings, industry conferences, LPACs, and similar forums
• Collaborate across functions—including legal, tax, operations, and product specialists—to deliver investment solutions and drive platform innovation
• Build and maintain strong relationships with fund managers, institutional investors, and other market participants worldwide
• Mentor and support junior colleagues, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning

What you bring

• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience, with a strong track record in managing private credit allocations, ideally across fund-of-funds, direct lending, and / or private credit secondaries
• Deep technical knowledge of the private credit asset class, including experience in deal origination, due diligence, execution, and portfolio management. Previous experience in infrastructure and / or real estate private credit is a plus
• Proven ability to lead complex transactions and projects and manage relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills, with a hands‑on, entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
• High level of attention to detail, analytical rigor, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Experience working collaboratively across functions (e.g., legal, tax, operations, client relationship) to deliver results for clients and the business
• Fluent in German and English; additional languages are an advantage
• Excellent academic credentials
• Ability to use Generative AI with knowledge of Data Analytics and Microsoft CoPilot
