Job summary

Deutsche Bank Technology in Berlin is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable cloud-native platform services and distributed systems using Go, GCP, and Kubernetes. You will drive automation, observability, and developer productivity across the organisation, while mentoring engineers and promoting engineering excellence.

The role supports hybrid working and emphasizes security, reliability, and fast delivery of business value through modern cloud-native practices

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience with a modern language.
• Proven experience designing and operating distributed systems at scale.
• Hands-on experience with public cloud (preferably GCP).
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, APIs, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate cloud-native platform services and distributed systems using Go, GCP, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Build and enhance platform automation, self-service workflows, APIs, and developer platform capabilities.
• Design and implement observability, telemetry, and reliability solutions for platform health and performance.
• Drive adoption of cloud-native tech, Kubernetes patterns, GitOps, and engineering best practices.
• Mentor engineers through technical leadership, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
