GotPhoto in Berlin is looking for a Platform Engineer to build the infrastructure that drives their global SaaS platform. Your responsibilities will include designing cloud-native platform services, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring security compliance.

The ideal candidate has considerable experience in AWS and infrastructure automation. You will work in a collaborative environment, fostering continuous improvement and enhancing the developer experience.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in Platform Engineering, SRE, Developer Experience, or a similar field.
• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol).
• Strong understanding of cloud-native infrastructure patterns.

Responsibilities

• You’ll work at the intersection of Platform Engineering, SRE, Developer Experience, and AI Enablement—building the infrastructure, tooling, and guardrails that power a global SaaS platform
• Build and Evolve Our Platform:
  • Design, build, and operate the cloud‑native platform that supports our engineering organization
  • Create reusable platform services, self‑service capabilities, and infrastructure standards that help product teams deliver software faster and more reliably
• Elevate Developer Experience:
  • Reduce friction across the software development lifecycle
  • Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, internal tooling, automation, and developer workflows that increase productivity and accelerate delivery
  • Partner with engineering teams to continuously improve the developer experience
• Drive Reliability & Observability:
  • Improve the reliability and performance of our systems
  • Define and maintain SLAs, SLOs, and observability standards using metrics, logs, tracing, and monitoring
  • Support incident response, root‑cause analysis, and continuous platform improvements
• Enable AI‑Native Engineering:
  • Help shape the next generation of developer platforms
  • Build infrastructure and workflows that support:
    • AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and future AI development tools
    • Agentic AI infrastructure including MCP servers, tool‑calling backends, and secure execution environments
    • AI workload observability including LLM tracing, latency, usage, and cost monitoring
    • Safe AI deployment workflows with model versioning, experimentation, rollbacks, and policy‑driven guardrails
• Champion Security & Platform Excellence:
  • Embed security, compliance, and Infrastructure‑as‑Code best practices into engineering workflows
  • Design scalable AWS architectures and automation that keep our platform secure, reliable, and ready for growth
• Lead Through Influence:
  • Share knowledge, mentor engineers, and drive cross‑functional platform initiatives
  • Help establish engineering best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating production systems in AWS
• Strong infrastructure‑as‑code and automation background
• 5+ years in Platform Engineering, SRE, Developer Experience, or a similar field
• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol)
• Collaborative partner: you enjoy working across teams, building alignment, and enabling others to succeed
• Experience building internal developer platforms (IDPs)
• Cloud & platform technologies: AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and modern cloud‑native infrastructure patterns

• Developer enablement: you enjoy building tools and platforms that help other engineers be more productive
• Incremental builder: you prefer iterative improvements, automation, and sustainable scaling over big‑bang solutions

• Architecture & systems thinking: you understand distributed systems, event‑driven architectures, authentication and authorization models, infrastructure automation, and modern deployment strategies
• Observability & reliability: you know how to design systems that are observable, measurable, and resilient using tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Experience in high‑growth SaaS environments
• Experience supporting AI/ML workloads in production
• Experience with AI‑assisted software development
