ALTEN Consulting Services GmbH is seeking a Senior Pentester (Red Team) to conduct comprehensive cybersecurity assessments across diverse environments, including cloud and on-premises systems. The role emphasizes hands-on penetration testing, offensive security, and realistic attack scenario design.

The ideal candidate holds a master's degree in a relevant field, certifications such as GPEN/OSCP, and demonstrable red team experience.

Qualifikationen

• Masters degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a comparable field.
• Industry certifications such as GPEN, OSCP, OSWE, CRTP, eJPT, CREST or similar are preferred.
• Experience in penetration testing, red teaming, ethical hacking, or offensive security assessments within complex IT environments.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Aufgaben

• Conduct cybersecurity assessments across environments including products, services, IT systems, manufacturing environments, and software development.
• Perform penetration tests and ethical hacking to identify vulnerabilities and assess security risks.
• Design and execute realistic attack scenarios for modern technologies and digital environments.
• Analyze findings and communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Apply red team methodologies, tools, and techniques to emulate real-world threat actors.
• Evaluate security of cloud applications, on-premise infrastructures, digital products, and services through offensive security assessments.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity experts to improve security solutions by addressing root causes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of cybersecurity solutions and methodologies.
• Research emerging cybersecurity technologies, attack techniques and threat developments.

Senior Pentester (Red Team) - Cybersecurity Audit (all gender)

Responsibilities

• conduct cybersecurity assessments across a broad range of environments, including products, services, IT systems, manufacturing environments, and software development organizations
• perform penetration tests and ethical hacking activities to identify vulnerabilities and assess security risks
• design and execute realistic attack scenarios for modern technologies and digital environments
• analyze technical findings and communicate relevant insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• apply red team methodologies, tools, and techniques to emulate real-world threat actors and attack scenarios
• evaluate the security of cloud applications, on-premises infrastructures, digital products, and services through offensive security assessments
• work closely with cybersecurity experts to improve security solutions by addressing the root causes of identified issues
• contribute to the continuous improvement of cybersecurity solutions and security assessment methodologies
• research emerging cybersecurity technologies, attack techniques, and threat developments
• evaluate the potential impact of evolving cyber threats on complex digital environments

Qualifications

• hold a masters degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a comparable field
• ideally possess industry-recognized certifications such as GPEN, OSCP, OSWE, CRTP, eJPT, CREST, or similar qualifications
• bring practical experience in penetration testing, red teaming, ethical hacking, or offensive security assessments within complex IT environments
• are confident in scripting and programming using technologies such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, C, C, or comparable languages
• possess a solid understanding of modern cybersecurity concepts, attack techniques, and security testing methodologies
• have experience with one or more of the following areas: application and software security, EDR and antivirus evasion, command-and-control (C2) infrastructures, automation and scaling of security testing, Active Directory attacks, or related red team and penetration testing activities
• demonstrate a strong interest in current cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and evolving attack techniques
• ideally have participated in Capture-the-Flag (CTF) competitions, bug bounty programs, vulnerability research, or responsible disclosure activities
• are willing to travel when required
• communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken
