On behalf of our client, SWIM is searching for a self-motivated, intelligent, adaptable, and dynamic immediately available Payroll Specialist who will support the full cycle payroll function which involves processing Canadian (1 province) and American (5 states) payroll for over 250 employees. Mix of salary, hourly, and commissioned payroll, as well as some equity-based compensation. Bi-weekly payroll (the payroll for each country is processed on opposite weeks). Overseeing filings and processing of the following: T4, T2200, ROE, WCB, EHT, W-2, W-2C, ACA, Form 941 and 940, RRSP and 401K.
We are seeking someone who loves improving processes and who is excited to be part of a company’s growth and transformation. Qualified candidates will be customer service oriented as this role will interact with all employees and various internal and external stakeholders.
The corporate office is in Downtown Vancouver’s financial sector, close to rapid transit. For those residing in the Lower Mainland / Greater Vancouver, a hybrid work model is available: 3 days a week in the office and 2 days from home.
Our client is also open to highly qualified candidates who live elsewhere in BC- or possibly even in Alberta- as long as the Payroll Specialist can drive to Vancouver at least once a month for team meetings, events, etc. The Payroll Specialist must have some flexibility in their work hours to meet deadlines and collaborate effectively with colleagues across various global time zones.
This company offers a highly competitive total compensation package! Base salary commensurate with level of skills, experience, and education, likely in the range of $90,000-$100,000. There may be upwards wiggle room on the base salary for candidates who are exceptionally qualified for the role. The overall compensation package includes an annual performance-based bonus, an attractive long-term incentive plan with a reasonable vesting timeline, professional development support for PCP, and good health benefits.
