MAM Gruppe in Stuttgart seeks a Senior Controller Operations to act as a business partner to plant management, guiding cost, capacity and investment decisions at the site with real influence.

You will own operations controlling for the production site, prepare monthly and annual statements, manage budgets and forecasts, run variance analyses, and ensure accurate cost allocation, inventory valuation and working capital management in close collaboration with production, quality and logistics.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience in operations or plant controlling
• Solid understanding of production processes and cost accounting
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS
• Proficient with SAP and advanced Excel skills

Aufgaben

• Own operations controlling for a production site, including cost and efficiency analysis and KPI reporting for both plant and headquarters.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports for the entity.
• Build and manage budgets, forecasts and medium-term planning for the site.
• Run variance analyses across materials, personnel, manufacturing and cost centre costs, and turn findings into concrete action.
• Calculate and maintain machine hour rates, surcharge and billing rates, and prepare the annual cost calculation.
• Ensure correct cost allocation and inventory valuation.
• Manage assets and working capital, and identify measures to optimise liquidity.
• Identify efficiency gains and cost drivers across the plant.
• Help shape the site's controlling processes and tools going forward.
• Work closely with production, quality and logistics teams, with visibility across the whole site.

The opportunity:

This is a plant controlling role with genuine influence: the person in this role will act as a business partner to plant management, with their analysis directly informing decisions on cost, capacity and investment at the site - rather than producing reports that sit unread. What you’ll need:

• Around 5+ years of experience in operations or plant controlling.
• A solid understanding of production processes.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, calculation and inventory valuation.
• Good working knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, and very strong Excel skills.
• Good German and English language skills.
