Senior Node.js Engineer (m/f/d) - CRM Tech - onsite in Hamburg or Berlin

• Full-time

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on Node.js to develop our home-grown CRM System (Customer Relationship Management System). The CRM-Tech circle is embedded in our circle cluster “Customer & Shop Intelligence”, which is in charge of driving a personalized and inspirational shop experience.

CRM-Tech’s Mission is to deliver personalized and intelligent recommendations, along with tailored mailing, push, onsite notifications and coupons to our customers, leveraging their historical consumption behavior. We handle over 15 million real-time API calls per hour and manage extensive data resources to ensure the finest shopping experience for our customers.

We also serve as an internal tool for our marketing managers to handle CRM campaigns, and continuously build towards a user-friendly experience that enables day-to-day business operations.

What you will do

• Develop cutting-edge CRM software utilizing Node.js with TypeScript.
• Manage extensive data volumes efficiently, employing Google BigQuery and MySQL, and integrating seamlessly with Business Intelligence systems.
• Build and enhance high-traffic APIs, ensuring minimal latencies.
• Utilize empathy towards users to continuously discover problems and solutions, iterating towards optimal UX.
• Collaborate closely with seasoned developers, product managers, and QA experts to solve business and user problems by enriching current functionalities and launching novel features.
• Draft architectural decisions together with our Tech Lead and explore new technologies.
• Rapidly innovate and grow in a culture with swift decision-making processes.

Who you are

• Min 5 years Node.js experience
• Practical & recent experience with TypeScript
• Solid know-how in relational databases
• Solid know-how in job-based data processing
• Practical & recent experience with React, VueJs or similar frontend frameworks
• You write well-structured, efficient and maintainable code and actively keep the quality of the code base in check
• You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• You are used to working in an English-speaking and agile environment
• You are proactive and take ownership in everything you do
• You have a MVP mindset and are used to a high-speed environment
• You know how to communicate with different stakeholders and internal users

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS
• Experience with Bull or other queue frameworks
• Experience with Google Big Query
• Experience with centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions (Datadog)
