Jobtailor seeks a senior network security engineer to lead technical initiatives with cross-functional teams in Germany. You will apply deep network security expertise to develop features and optimize existing capabilities, driving velocity and continuous improvement.

Working with product owners to translate objectives into backlog items, addressing user requests, and enforcing strong testing. You will contribute to AI-driven software engineering processes and secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of relevant work experience
• Deep understanding of network security principles and solutions (firewalls, SSE/SASE)
• Hands-on firewall configuration and troubleshooting
• Hands-on Python in network automation projects
• Vendor certifications at Professional level (CCNP, JNCIP, NSE4+, CCSE, PCNSE)
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
• Expert/Master level certifications (CCIE, CCSM, NSE8 etc.)
• Experience in software engineering
• Knowledge of vendors like Check Point, Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Zscaler, Netskope, Juniper
• Experience with Claude Code
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines
• Proven ability to collaborate within distributed teams

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant work experience
• Very good understanding of network security principles and solutions (firewalls, SSE/SASE)
• Hands‑on experience with configuration and troubleshooting of firewalls
• Hands‑on Python experience in projects related to network automation that goes beyond simple scripting
• Networking/security vendor certification at minimum Professional level (at least one of CCNP, JNCIP, NSE4+, CCSE, PCNSE)
• English language proficiency at B2 level or higher
• Expert/Master level networking certification (CCIE, CCSM, NSE8 etc.)
• Experience in software engineering
• Knowledge of network security products from vendors like Check Point, Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, ZScaler, Netskope, Juniper
• Experience with Claude Code
• Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines
• Proven ability to effectively collaborate within distributed teams
