Job summary

TargetVideo GmbH in Munich is building a new consumer video app for iOS and Android using React Native and TypeScript. You will own the implementation from first commit to store release, shaping architecture and delivering a fast, media-heavy experience.

You will lead the code quality, testing, CI/CD, and integration with our video, CMS and ad tech platforms, collaborating with our Belgrade team and founding members. Remote or Munich based, permanent role, start ASAP.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in B2C app development with senior/lead responsibility.
• Hands-on in React Native with TypeScript, including native modules when needed.
• Experience shipping apps to stores from scratch and maintaining live operation.
• Experience integrating video, CMS and ad tech platforms is a plus.

Your mission

TargetVideo is looking for an experienced developer to take technical ownership of a new consumer video app for iOS and Android, from the first commit all the way into the stores. We are a Munich-based video technology and ad tech company, with streaming infrastructure and ad monetisation in production for years. Now we are building our own consumer product on top. What is missing is the app itself.

Your role

• You own the implementation and technical quality of a consumer app for iOS and Android in React Native and TypeScript, from the first commit to store release and beyond.

• You shape the architecture within a clear frame: React Native and our video, CMS and ad platform are set. The rest is your call, and you stand behind it with the founding team.

• You build the core video experience of the app, with a focus on load time, smooth interaction and native modules where needed.

• You connect the app to our video, CMS and ad tech platform, supported by our Belgrade team.

• You set the quality bar: code quality, testing, CI/CD, monitoring and release processes.

What you bring

• At least three years of experience in B2C app development (gaming welcome), several of them in a senior or lead role.

• Daily, hands‑on work with AI coding agents, ideally Claude Code, as your default way of building: planning, implementing, testing and reviewing with it.

• At least one app with meaningful user numbers that you shipped to both stores from scratch and kept improving in live operation.

• Hands‑on practice in React Native with TypeScript, ideally with native modules in Swift and Kotlin, plus experience integrating third‑party SDKs.

• Experience with media‑heavy apps where load time and smooth interaction decide success. Video feeds are a plus.

• A track record in app monetisation: in‑app purchases, subscriptions and advertising, including a clean server‑side integration.

• A feel for engagement and retention. You know what brings users back and what annoys them.

• Routine with backend APIs, analytics, GDPR and the Apple and Google review processes.

Tech stack

React Native with TypeScript, plus native modules where performance requires it. The app builds on our streaming infrastructure, CMS backend and ad stack. The playback layer is open: we want your recommendation, backed by a prototype in the first weeks. In your cover letter, tell us about a performance problem you solved in a media‑heavy app and how AI tools helped you.
