STARK in Berlin or Munich is seeking a Senior Media and Communications Officer to strengthen our media relations and strategic messaging. You will lead communications efforts across Germany and internationally, working with senior leadership to shape narrative and drive high-impact media coverage.

You will develop and pitch stories, draft translations and statements in English and German, and coordinate with internal teams to highlight STARK’s technology and partnerships in a fast-moving defence

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in communications, journalism, or media relations.
• Strong understanding of the German and European media landscapes with a proven track record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in German and English (native-level fluency in at least one).
• Experience managing sensitive and high-stakes media moments, including crisis communications.
• Confident working with senior executives and external stakeholders.
• Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, compelling messaging.

• Work with other internal teams to develop content that showcases the company’s technology, partnerships, and impact.
• Act as a key point of contact for media enquiries.

YOUR MISSION

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Media and Communications Officer (All Genders) to support our growing communications team. Based in Berlin or Munich, the successful candidate will play a key role in building the company’s reputation across Germany and internationally, with a particular focus on media relations, content development, and strategic messaging.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong understanding of the media landscape in Germany and Europe, with a proven track record of securing coverage
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English (native-level fluency in at least one)
• Experience managing sensitive and high-stakes media moments, including crisis communications
• Confident working with senior executives and external stakeholders
• Able to translate complex technical topics into clear, compelling messaging
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
