Zusammenfassung

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (Mechanical) for a major data centre project in Germany. You will take full commercial responsibility, leading the contract and cost management from early stages to final account while collaborating with clients, the project team and the supply chain.

Qualifikationen

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within mechanical or M&E contracting.
  • Background delivering data centres, mission-critical, life sciences or pharmaceutical projects.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and contractual management.
  • Comfortable engaging directly with clients, consultants and senior project stakeholders.

Aufgaben

  • Full management and ownership of commercial and contractual requirements across the project lifecycle.
  • Acting as the primary commercial interface with the client’s commercial and contract teams.
  • Managing project procurement, including mechanical subcontractors.
  • Carrying out cost management, forecasting and risk analysis.
  • Reviewing all incoming correspondence from the client, design team and subcontractors, identifying contractually critical items and initiating appropriate responses.
  • Managing the commercial performance of subcontractors, including valuations, variations and final accounts.
  • Preparing accurate project cost reports, margin forecasts and cashflow reports.
  • Leading change control procedures, negotiating and agreeing costs with the client.
  • Preparing and submitting monthly valuations and certifications.
  • Driving the project through to final account agreement.

This role sits at the heart of a major data centre project in Germany, where strong commercial leadership will directly influence project performance, margin and outcomes.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor (Mechanical), you will take full commercial responsibility for the project, working closely with the Commercial Manager, Project Manager and site teams to ensure successful delivery.

You’ll lead the commercial and contractual function from early stages through to final account, acting as a key interface with the client and supply chain while protecting commercial position and managing risk throughout.

This is a hands‑on role with genuine influence, not a reporting‑only position.

Key Responsibilities
