BRG Consulting Germany seeks an experienced Forensic Investigations Specialist to lead workstreams and perform substantive forensic analysis across complex datasets from SAP, DATEV, and Oracle. You will also contribute to eDiscovery efforts and draft substantial sections of investigation reports for proceedings.

The role requires four or more years in forensic or related fields, fluency in German and English, and willingness to travel within Germany and internationally.

• Progress towards or completion of a professional qualification (WP, StB, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CFE) is welcome.
• Strong Excel skills as a baseline.

• A methodical approach to documentation; working papers may be read by opposing counsel.
• Fluent German and English. Willingness to travel within Germany and internationally.

We Do Consulting Differently We are establishing BRG's Forensic Investigations practice in Germany. This is a genuine build — a new team, in a new market, with the methodology, credentials and global network of an established international firm behind it, and without the constraints of a legacy structure. The practice focuses on two connected disciplines: forensic accounting and fraud investigations, and forensic technology and eDiscovery. Our work typically arises where the facts are contested and the stakes are high — special investigations for supervisory boards and audit committees, allegations of financial misstatement, corruption and misappropriation, regulatory and criminal proceedings, and post-transaction disputes. The analytical backbone of an investigation. You lead defined workstreams, do the substantive analysis yourself, and supervise the people doing it alongside you.

Your Responsibilities

Lead defined workstreams within larger investigations, from planning through to written findings. Perform substantive forensic analysis: journal entry testing, revenue recognition reviews, analysis of third‑party and intermediary payments, asset and funds tracing. Structure and interrogate large datasets from accounting and ERP systems — SAP, DATEV, Oracle and comparable environments — as well as payment and communications data. Support eDiscovery workstreams: search term design and testing, review protocols, quality control of review output, and analysis of results. Draft substantial sections of investigation reports and prepare exhibits and schedules that will be relied upon in proceedings. Supervise and review the work of consultants and associates. Prepare client‑ready materials and participate in client and counsel meetings.

Your Profile

Four or more years of relevant experience — typically Big Four forensic, audit, internal audit or transaction services, or a comparable in‑house or technology role. A university degree in business administration, accounting, economics, law, information systems, data science or a comparable subject. Progress towards or completion of a professional qualification (WP, StB, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CFE) is welcome. Strong Excel skills as a baseline. Working knowledge of SQL, Python, Alteryx, Power BI or Relativity is a distinct advantage. A methodical approach to documentation — you understand that a working paper may one day be read by opposing counsel. Fluent German and English. Willingness to travel within Germany and internationally.
