Qualifikationen

Senior Manager Operational Quality (m/f/d)

In this position, you will provide strategic and hands-on leadership for all quality-related matters within your assigned operational areas, ensuring that day-to-day activities consistently comply with cGMP, regulatory requirements and key GSK corporate quality policies. You will exercise independent oversight of GxP processes to drive adherence to cGxP standards and procedures, strengthen the effectiveness of quality in preventing, identifying and resolving quality issues, and foster a proactive quality culture of continuous improvement. By maintaining a strong on-the-floor presence, you will be accountable for critical quality decision-making and manage quality escalations, acting as a visible role model and trusted partner for the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach and develop the Quality Operations team, fostering a high-performance and accountable mindset
  • Provide independent quality oversight across manufacturing activities, maintaining a strong presence on the shop floor to identify potential quality issues early
  • Make and, where appropriate, elevate key quality decisions, acting as a trusted point of contact for quality-related topics in the operational area
  • Ensure effective management and timely closure of deviations, CAPAs, change controls, risk assessments and product quality reviews
  • Maintain continuous inspection readiness and actively support internal audits, self-inspections and health authority inspections
  • Represent Quality in site and above-site governance meetings as well as interactions with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities
  • Partner with the business to improve compliance, product quality and overall operational performance through data-driven decisions
  • Promote a practical, proactive quality culture built on coaching, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Contribute to resources, budget and workforce planning to ensure the Quality Operations team can effectively deliver on its objectives
Qualifications & Skills
  • University Degree in natural sciences, engineering or another relevant technical discipline
  • Extensive experience in Quality Operations or a comparable role within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong working knowledge of cGMP and relevant pharmaceutical regulatory requirements
  • Proven experience in operational quality oversight, risk management and maintaining inspection readiness
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching capability in a complex, matrixed environment
  • Sound judgement and the confidence to make balanced, risk-based quality decisions
  • Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to influence effectively across functions and organizational levels
