Zusammenfassung

Vestas seeks a Senior Manager (m/f/d) Operations Development Central to join our team in Berlin or Hamburg. You will lead a multidisciplinary group and drive governance, portfolio alignment, and strategic initiatives in a global wind energy environment.

You will identify AI use cases, partner with Finance on cost forecasting and budgets, and translate annual priorities into actionable programs, impacting performance across the organization.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical, business, or related field.
• Experience in service operations and understanding of performance drivers.
• International, cross-functional collaboration experience.
• Fluency in German and English.

About The Department

The Service department is responsible to execute the operational Service of our customers wind turbines and as well managing the daily customer communication.

As part of the department the team Operations Development manages the internal improvement projects, continuously develops the performance management governance of the line management, defines and executes the strategic initiatives to meet our targets and provides the basis for the operational forecasting processes.

• You lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of Project Managers, Performance Managers, and Capacity Planners, creating an environment where people can grow and succeed
• You establish and guide the department’s operational performance management governance, promoting transparency, consistency, and accountability across every organizational level, from Vice President to Field Supervisor
• You manage and rank the department’s project portfolio, making sure deliverables align with strategic goals
• You identify, develop, and scale AI use cases that improve operational efficiency, enhance decision-making, and support business transformation
• You act as a strategic partner to Finance, contributing to operational cost forecasting as well as budget and strategy planning processes
• You turn annual strategic priorities into actionable initiatives and set the department’s operational focus areas
• You collaborate across functions and leadership levels, connecting strategy, operational performance, operations, and transformation to deliver business impact

Your profile – what makes you well suited for this role

• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical, business, or related field
• You have solid experience in service operations and a clear understanding of operational processes and performance drivers
• You thrive in international and cross-functional environments, building effective relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders
• You communicate fluently in both German and English, enabling effective collaboration across all organizational levels
• You draw on advanced analysis skills to turn data and insights into better business decisions
• You blend strategic insight with practical execution to transform complex challenges into workable solutions
• You display solid project and stakeholder management skills, handling priorities carefully and supporting consensus
• You manage complex situations effectively, support change with assurance, and encourage others to keep progressing in shifting environments
