Mutares SE & Co. KGaA is seeking a senior finance professional to lead on-site restructuring and cash-management improvements across portfolio companies in a hands-on role.

You will partner with the in-house restructuring team to build financial models, evaluate cases, and design financing solutions to support turnaround efforts. The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, German and English fluency, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with travel up to four days per week.

Qualifications

• Finance degree or equivalent with outstanding results.
• 6+ years of experience in restructuring consulting, management consulting, or a Controlling/Finance function within an industrial company.

Responsibilities

• Manage restructuring and improvement processes on-site to implement and improve cash management.
• Conduct financial analyses, develop and integrate financial models, and evaluate business cases with the restructuring team.

• Improve financial statement closing and other finance/controlling processes, assist in preparing financial statements and audits.

Mutares actively supports its portfolio companies with its own investment and operations teams and through strategic add-on acquisitions. Your Tasks

• Manage the restructuring and improvement processes for our portfolio companies on-site to implement and improve sound cash management processes on-site

• Partner closely with the Mutares restructuring team by conducting financial analyses, developing and integrating financial models, and critically evaluating business cases

• Prepare and execute financing solutions (factoring, asset-based funding, credit lines)

• Improve financial statement closing and other finance/controlling processes and assist in the preparation of financial statements and audit

• Manage the relationship with external stakeholders (auditors, financial advisers, banks, credit insurers, etc.)

Your Profile

• Successfully completed a Finance degree or similar with outstanding results

• At least 6 years of experience in restructuring consulting, management consulting, or a Controlling/Finance function within an industrial company, ideally with hands‑on exposure to turnaround and transformation situations

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and hands‑on approach

• Business fluency in German and English with the ability to communicate in a well‑structured and concise manner

• Willingness to travel up to 4 days per week across (typ. Mon-Thu)
