1KOMMA5° sucht einen Lab Engineer in Berlin, der Testumgebungen für PV-Systeme, Batteriespeicher, Wärmepumpen und EV-Ladegeräte aufbaut und kalibriert. Sie entwickeln Testverfahren, unterstützen 3. Level Support und verbessern die Testmethodik im Heartbeat‑Portfolio.

Sie bringen 4+ Jahre Erfahrung in der Prüfung elektrischer Systeme mit, verfügen über eine EFK‑Qualifikation und lesen Schaltpläne sicher. Gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse runden das Profil ab.

Formación

• Abgeschlossenes Studium in EE oder Mechatronik
• 4+ Jahre Erfahrung in Montage, Prüfung oder Wartung elektrischer Systeme, idealerweise im Bereich erneuerbare Energien
• EFK-Qualifikation und Verständnis beim Lesen von Schaltplänen und technischer Dokumentation
• Praktische Erfahrung im Umgang mit Messgeräten wie Multimeter, Oszilloskop und Leistungsanalysatoren
• Gültiger Führerschein Klasse B
• Gute Dokumentationsfähigkeiten und Kommunikationsfähigkeit
• Fließendes Englisch und Deutsch, schriftlich und mündlich

Responsabilidades

• Planung und Durchführung von Entwicklungs- und Testarbeiten mit Hardware in einem integrierten Energiesteuerungssystem
• OEM- und Feature-Integrationen: technische Abstimmung mit funktionsübergreifenden Teams; Systemintegrations-Tests koordinieren und durchführen
• Release-Tests: Konzeption, Koordination und Durchführung von Tests
• Aufbau und Konzeption von Testbänken; Aufbau und Konfiguration von Testumgebungen für Pilotprojekte (PV, Batterie, Wärmepumpe, EV-Lader)
• Definition von Test-KPIs, Dokumentation und Auswertung der Testergebnisse
• Entwicklung und Verbesserung von Lab-Testing-Software, Testautomatisierung, Methoden und Verfahren
• Anleitung von Junior-Lab-Ingenieuren und Mentoring zur fachlichen Entwicklung

Deine Position

At 1KOMMA5°, we connect and manage distributed energy devices at scale. As a Lab Engineer, you will build and configure test setups with integrated PV systems, batteries, heat pumps, and EV chargers. Alongside maintaining and calibrating test equipment, you will develop testing procedures for OEM component compatibility within the Heartbeat platform. Your role also involves providing 3rd-level support, documenting procedures and results, offering guidance to lower-level support teams, and contributing to the improvement of testing methodologies at our Berlin lab.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Planning and execution of development-related tests with hardware for an integrated energy control platform
• OEM and feature integrations: technical exploration with cross-functional teams; coordination and execution of system integration testing
• Release testing: test conception, coordination, and execution
• Design and construction of test benches; assemble and configure setups that simulate single-home environments (PV, battery, heat pump, EV charger)
• Definition of test KPIs, documentation and evaluation of results
• Develop and improve lab testing software, test automation, methodologies, and procedures
• Guide junior lab engineers in daily tasks and support their technical and professional development through mentoring

Dein Profil

The successful candidate will have:

• Completed studies in electrical engineering or mechatronics, 4+ years of experience in assembly, testing, or maintenance of electrical systems, preferably in renewable energy
• Elektrofachkraft (EFK) qualification and proficiency reading electrical schematics and technical documentation
• Hands-on experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power analyzers
• Experience collaborating with development, support teams and stakeholders to troubleshoot technical issues
• Valid driver’s license Class B
• Strong documentation skills, with the ability to record and communicate test procedures, results, and best practices
• Fluency in English and German, both written and verbal

Bonus points for:

• Familiar with state of the art AI development using Tools like Claude Code, Cursor and other development tools
