Version 1, a long-standing technology partner, is seeking developers proficient in Kotlin/Java on AWS to build scalable microservices and modern cloud-native applications. The role involves contributing to API design and working in a cross-functional Scrum team within a highly collaborative environment.

The candidate will work with frontend TypeScript/Node.js, SpringBoot, and Docker/Kubernetes, embracing best practices, estimation, and ongoing learning to grow as a well-rounded developer.

Qualifikationen

• Proficient in Kotlin/Java with cloud deployment on AWS.
• Experience delivering on microservices using modern architectural patterns.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and code reviews.
• Solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes ecosystems.
• Frontend skills with TypeScript/Node.js and Express JS.

Jobbeschreibung

Developing software for clients using Kotlin and Java on the AWS Cloud platform, following best practice. In addition to Kotlin, this project utilises Typescript/Node.js using the GOV.UK Design System. Kubernetes and Docker to schedule and run services hosted on AWS Cloud. You'll join a Scrum Team of cross-functional skills working in a modern Agile environment. Contributing to real decisions about technology to create maintainable solutions for our customers and participating in a highly collaborative group of software engineering professionals. Learning, developing your skills, and becoming a rounded Developer in the process.

• Deep understanding of coding best practices and modern architectural patterns, including microservices and message-driven architectures
• NFR / Non-Functional requirement understanding and experience developing applications with this in mind
• Application / Digital Services Design experience
• Experience in software engineering practices like Code Reviews, CI/CD Pipelines and SOLID/DRY principals
• Hands-on developing / coding role using the following technologies:
• + Frontend (TypeScript, Node, Express JS) + Backend (Kotlin, SpringBoot, Hibernate)
• Experience in estimation and sizing
• Integration experience
• API Design experience
• Cloud experience
• Appetite to work with emerging AI technologies
