Zusammenfassung

ePages seeks a product-aware engineer to own projects within an Agile team in our Hamburg office. You will build a scalable, modular, responsive web application, including a new e-commerce storefront built on a microservice-based architecture using Docker, Node.js, TypeScript, React, Redux and Jest.

You will ship large-scale web apps with frontend focus and strong UX, mentor teammates, and explore AI-assisted development to speed up coding, testing, and documentation workflows.

Qualifikationen

• Solid experience shipping large-scale web applications in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Project experience using Node.js for client-server communication.
• Experience in React as the main library to work with.
• Strong HTML/CSS frontend skills.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Familiar with unit/integration testing (Testing Library, Cypress).
• Proven leadership, mentoring developers and driving technical discussions.
• Interest in AI-assisted development and prompts for tools like Copilot / ChatGPT.

As part of an Agile development team on site in our Hamburg office, we’re looking for a product-aware engineer who can take ownership of projects, drive technical decisions, and support the growth of the team by sharing knowledge and best practices.
Your main focus is to build a large, highly user interactive web application that is easy to scale, extend, and all modular in a responsive environment. This includes developing our new e-commerce storefront and all its user-facing interfaces that is built on a microservice-based architecture.
We use modern technologies such as Docker, Node.js, TypeScript / modern JavaScript, React & Redux, and Jest.

• Experience with other modern front-end frameworks such as Vue, SolidJS or Svelte
• Familiar with continuous integration (e.g. GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins) and tools like Docker
• Knowledge about front-end tooling (e.g. webpack, Babel, PostCSS, CSS preprocessors)
• Attention to detail to debug, reiterate and improve your code on different platforms
• Curiosity about AI prompting to explore new ways of coding, debugging, and automating repetitive development tasks.
