Professional Overview

1Global is a technology-driven global mobile communications provider, at the forefront of delivering innovative connectivity solutions to enterprises and consumers worldwide. Powered by a best-in-class telecom platform, our own global mobile core network spanning 15 countries, and advanced in-house developed eSIM technology, we operate as a fully regulated telecommunications provider across 43 countries. We empower many of the world's leading banks, multinational enterprises, global retailers, and digital-first businesses, connecting over 80 million people and devices globally.

We are a profitable and rapidly growing business, with full-year revenues projected to exceed US$200 million and profits over US$25 million in 2025. This strong financial position fuels our continuous investment in infrastructure, platform innovation, and global expansion. Recent years have marked a defining phase, with major enterprise and mass-consumer client wins, including a strategic 10% acquisition by the parent of the Lidl Group in 2026. This trajectory is accelerating our evolution into a global mobile connectivity powerhouse, purpose-built to enable consumer brands to succeed in offering telecommunications services.

We are looking for a talented Senior Java Software Engineer to join our dynamic Consumer Group. This team is responsible for the end-to-end product delivery and in-life management of our critical B2C (betterroaming) and B2B2C (API powering partners like Revolut, NordVPN) products. You will join an eager, experimental team that values collaboration, embraces full ownership of deliverables, and thrives on both autonomy and accountability, making a direct impact on our global mobile connectivity solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-impact features for 1Global’s B2C and B2B2C global connectivity products.
• Contribute significantly to the architectural design, ensuring solutions are resilient, scalable, and performant.
• Drive technical excellence and best practices within the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Take full ownership of deliverables from conceptualization through to deployment and ongoing in-life management.
• Actively participate in code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and sharing knowledge across the team.
