LEASETEQ is building the orchestration brain for auto finance in the DACH region. Our platform runs Flowable BPM as the core process engine on a modern, event-driven micro-services architecture.

We operate with an AI-first mindset and frequent collaboration with CTOs and founders from our European bases. You will join a small, senior team in Berlin, designing backend architectures, implementing Flowable models, and delivering production-grade micro-services with Kafka pipelines.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of Java backend engineering in production.
• Mandatory Flowable BPMN/DMN experience.
• Strong Kafka experience in production systems.
• Fluent German and English communication.
• Experience with microservices architecture.

• Build and maintain Java/Spring Boot micro-services with Flowable REST APIs.
• Design and operate Kafka-based event streaming for core leasing domains.
• Own service boundaries, API contracts and data models end-to-end.
• Collaborate with the AI Agent Engineer to expose automation as Flowable service tasks and event-driven gateways.
• Define technical standards and review code from our Southeast Asia developer partners.
• Participate in architecture decisions and quarterly reviews with the CTO.
• Communicate clearly in German and English with engineering peers and business stakeholders.

What You Will Do

• Design and implement BPMN 2.0 process models and DMN decision tables in Flowable
• Build and maintain Java / Spring Boot micro-services integrating with Flowable Java and REST APIs
• Design and operate Kafka‑based event streaming for core leasing domains
• Own service boundaries, API contracts and data models end‑to‑end
• Collaborate with the AI Agent Engineer to expose AI automation as Flowable service tasks and event‑driven gateways
• Define technical standards and review code from our Southeast Asia developer partners

Your profile

• 5+ years of Java backend engineering experience (Spring Boot / Spring Cloud)
• Production Flowable experience (BPMN 2.0, DMN) is mandatory
• Strong Kafka expertise in production systems is mandatory
• Solid experience with microservices patterns and distributed systems
• PostgreSQL experience; Elasticsearch knowledge is a plus
• Confident with Docker and Kubernetes in a cloud‑native environment
• AI‑first engineering mindset (daily use of coding assistants and automation tools)
• Fluent in German and English
• Experience in car leasing, asset finance or insurance domains is a strong plus
