Atolls is seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our engineering team in Munich or remotely from Germany. You will design, build, and scale high-performance backend systems using Java 17+ and cloud-native architectures, focusing on reliability and scalable microservices across markets.

You will work with Spring Boot, WebFlux, GraphQL, and NoSQL/SQL databases, contributing to architecture and best practices while mentoring others and collaborating with product, frontend, and DevOps teams.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java 17 or newer versions.
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot and Spring Reactive.
• Solid knowledge of MySQL and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB or MongoDB).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience building and consuming GraphQL APIs.
• Proven experience with performance optimization and testing.
• Experience with end-to-end testing strategies.
• Experience with prompt engineering for AI-powered applications.
• Excellent understanding of software design and architectural patterns.
