Job summary

MOTOR Ai GmbH in Berlin is seeking a seasoned IT generalist to plan, operate and secure our corporate IT landscape. The role covers network design, server and user systems, and core services like Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.

You will ensure high availability while maintaining documentation for certifications and compliance. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of hands‑on IT experience, strong Windows/Linux skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• A degree in IT/Computer Science, completed vocational training as a System Administrator, or equivalent hands‑on experience
• At least 7 years of relevant experience as an IT generalist, with the confidence to work independently
• Strong knowledge of network architecture and design, plus hands‑on experience with routing & switching, VLANs, and network monitoring tools
• Solid experience with Windows and Linux systems, Active Directory / Entra ID, and Microsoft 365
• Fluent English (C1) is required; German (B2/C1) is a plus
• UniFi experience and scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) are a plus
• A stress‑resistant, solution‑oriented mindset, real hands‑on energy, and enthusiasm for shaping a growing IT environment

• Design and run our corporate network, hardware and software alike, ensuring high availability
• Administer core IT services such as Microsoft 365 / Entra ID, server and client systems, virtualization, cloud, and backup
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights
• Implement and monitor security measures, and spot performance bottlenecks before they become problems
• Troubleshoot hands‑on, and take care of regular maintenance and patching
• Document system and network configurations, and prepare documentation for certifications such as NIS2 and ISO 27001
