ABACUS MEDICINE is building production GenAI applications within the AI for Automation team. You will design, prototype, and ship end-to-end AI solutions with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

You will own solution design for defined work packages, collaborate across disciplines, and continuously evaluate AI techniques to maximize impact while maintaining production-quality code.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on software engineering or ML/DL experience with GenAI/NLP.
• Strong Python and production-grade coding skills.
• Experience delivering GenAI apps: RAG pipelines, embeddings, and vector databases.

• Build and optimize RAG pipelines for document ingestion and retrieval.
• Develop prompt engineering strategies and manage prompt lifecycles in production.

We are building production GenAI applications that solve real business problems across Abacus. As part of the AI for Automation team within Data, Analytics & AI, you will help turn strong use cases into reliable, scalable solutions with measurable business impact. You will design, prototype, and ship end-to-end AI solutions together with engineers, data scientists, delivery leads, and business stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities include

• Designing and implementing GenAI solutions for real business use cases, from classical NLP approaches to LLM-based applications, depending on what the problem actually needs.

• Building and optimizing RAG pipelines: document ingestion, embeddings, vector search and retrieval quality.

• Developing prompt engineering strategies and managing prompt lifecycles for production use.

• Designing and implementing GenAI workflow automations and integrations (Azure AI Foundry, LangGraph, or similar).

• Rapidly prototype new GenAI use cases, validate ideas early with clear success criteria, and iterate before moving solutions into production.

• Collaborating with Delivery Leads, Data Engineers, Platform Engineers, Data Scientists and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end GenAI applications.

• Taking ownership of solution design and delivery for defined work packages, components or functions within larger AI initiatives.

• Integrating external data sources and APIs to extend AI capabilities.

• Bringing emerging AI techniques, tools and research back to the team and helping us evaluate what is worth investing in.

You are excited about where the field is going and bring that curiosity into the team. You enjoy exploring new technologies while helping junior engineers grow.

In addition, your profile includes

• hands-on experience in software engineering or machine learning / deep learning, with a meaningful portion in GenAI or NLP.

• Strong Python skills. You write clean, production-quality code and you review other people's code constructively.

• Experience building production-grade GenAI applications: RAG pipelines, agent orchestration, fine-tuning, prompt engineering and vector databases.

• Experience working with at least one major cloud platform, such as Azure, AWS or GCP, in a production context.

• Comfortable operating in a modern engineering environment: you have worked with containerization, CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native tooling, and you know your way around at least some of it.

• Comfortable working in English in a professional setting, written and verbal.

A plus for this role

• Familiarity with LLM frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, or similar) and workflow automation tools (n8n, Azure AI Foundry, or similar).

• Experience working in cross-functional teams with non-technical stakeholders.
