The challenge we face is enormous: By 2050, €150 trillion must be invested worldwide to achieve climate neutrality. 65% of these investments need to be financed through loans.

Having recently secured a €500 million financing line, Bees & Bears is on a mission to inject this capital into the sustainable economy to accelerate the transformation and make the world greener.

We work closely with installers of green hardware such as energy storage systems, solar panels and heat pumps to enable their customers to pay a small monthly fee instead of investing tens of thousands of euros upfront.

Our software helps make financing as easy as buying a smartphone with a few clicks. This way, we massively accelerate the transition to renewable energy, strengthen the skilled trades sector and make green energy accessible to those who would otherwise be priced out by high upfront investment costs.

We are looking for a highly ambitious individual to join the cockpit of Bees & Bears as a Senior Fullstack Engineer. This is a high impact position with great room for growth as our team expands.

Your Responsibilities

• You will own the design, development, deployment and maintenance of our web application, utilising modern technologies while adhering to industry best practices
• You will work autonomously and contribute to architectural decisions alongside your team
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to build impactful solutions for the climate sector
• Improve development workflow and contribute to building an efficient, high‑performance engineering culture

Requirements

• You have at least 5+ years of software development experience
• Strong expertise in Python, Django, React, TanStack Query, React Router 7 (or TanStack Router)
• Experience in developing complex forms using react-hook-form and zod while ensuring a responsive and frictionless user journey
• Proficiency in Tailwind CSS and modern UI development practices
• You can evaluate what’s hype versus what’s real business value
• You have a good understanding of Docker, AWS and cloud native architecture
• You have experience debugging and resolving production issues
• You have led large complex projects from beginning to end
• You have excellent communication skills in English, and experience with distributed teams is a plus
