YOUR ROLE
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer (Backend Focus), you’ll be an integral part of a cross-functional squad building and scaling features for remberg’s B2B SaaS cloud-based product platform both on the frontend and backend. With your focus on high-quality, customer-centric solutions, you ensure that our software meets the demands of a fast-growing company and scales effortlessly.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT
- High-impact, end-to-end ownership: Each of our squads operates like a mini-startup—you’ll take full ownership of features from concept to release, directly impacting how our industrial customers use our platform.
- Backend-driven feature development: Architect and build backend components with NestJS to support new product features.
- Frontend collaboration: While backend is your strength, you’ll contribute to frontend development using Angular and Typescript to support your squad in full product delivery.
- Modern microservices architecture: Work within a scalable, well-structured microservice setup that’s continuously improved by engineers like you who care about quality.
- Clean, maintainable, and tested code: You write readable, reusable code with strong test coverage, documentation, and thoughtful design.
- Product mindset: Collaborate closely with PMs and Designers, regularly ship meaningful updates, and help our Sales & CS teams shine with features they can proudly demo.
- Thrive in a strong engineering culture: We have strong processes, high autonomy, we run quarterly hackathons, Freestyle Fridays and career growth sessions and learning budgets, empowering engineers to explore and grow.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Proven backend experience: You have 4+ years of experience building scalable backend systems, with strong skills in NestJS, TypeScript and MongoDB. Experience with NestJS is a plus, but solid expertise in other backend technologies like Node.js is also welcome.
- Frontend experience: You're comfortable navigating frontend codebases and have hands-on experience with Angular (preferred) or React / VueJS.
- DevOps-friendly mindset: Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud providers to ship and monitor production-grade services.
- Ownership and initiative: You’re proactive, ask the right questions, and improve processes—not just complete tickets. You also go beyond tasks—improving processes and taking technical responsibility.
- Strong communicator: Fluent in English (C1 level), willing to work hybrid from Munich and engage in open feedback culture.
