Contabo seeks two full-time, permanent Senior Frontend Developers to join a green-field product initiative in Germany. You will work remotely with an option for hybrid or on-site depending on location.

The role focuses on GUI development, API integration, and tooling across cloud-native environments, collaborating with UX designers to deliver a superior customer experience. Ideal candidates have strong TypeScript and Svelte skills, API experience, and familiarity with modern frontend tooling.

Qualifikationen

• Strong production experience with TypeScript 5.9.
• Proficient in Svelte 5 and client-side routing.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiar with containerized frontend tooling: Docker, Webpack, PostCSS.
• Experience with Svelte Material UI or similar component libraries.
• End-to-end testing with Playwright and/or Cypress.
• Experience with Keycloak.js or similar SSO/OAuth.
• Fluent English; German a plus.

We are looking for two full-time, permanent Senior Frontend Developer (all genders) to start as soon as possible. We live remote-first within Germany, but you have the freedom to choose whether you want to work hybrid or completely on-site due to your proximity to one of our locations.

You’ll become an integral part of a new team which is going to be responsible for the creation and maintenance of Contabo's new product line. You’ll be part of a new team in a green field scenario making design, code and infrastructure decisions based on our product strategy and time-to-market.

We’re looking for brave, pragmatic risk takers who find a balance between speed and perfectionism, who participate in on-call but also proactively work with the team on improving the redundancy and up-time of our systems.

Your main focus is going to be on everything our customers can touch or use to interact with our platform – mainly GUI but also other cloud-native open source tools like terraform or CLIs etc, making sure we develop in the open with an active presence. You’ll be building on-top of an API teams and working closely with UX designers to build the best customer experience possible. Since the product is new you’ll have the chance to develop from the ground up, develop fast, fix fast and bring learnings back into the team. Standardise APIs but also join in on shaping the design of the product with integration to design frameworks.

• TypeScript 5.9 – strong production experience, you use the type system to actually prevent bugs
• Svelte 5 including client-side routing (svelte5-router); deep prior Svelte experience is not required if you're strong in TypeScript and a comparable modern reactive framework
• REST APIs – building and consuming them; comfortable with APIs that are still evolving
• Docker, Webpack 5, PostCSS – containerized builds and frontend tooling are not foreign territory
• Svelte Material UI (SMUI) or comparable component library experience
• E2E testing with Playwright and/or Cypress
• Keycloak.js or comparable SSO/OAuth implementation experience
• Fluent English skills are a must have and German language skills are a plus
