Contabo is hiring two full-time Senior Frontend Developers to join a new team building a green-field product line. You will work in a remote-first setup across Germany with the option to hybrid or be on-site depending on proximity to a location.

You will shape the frontend stack, collaborate with API teams, and work closely with UX designers to deliver an exceptional customer experience on our platform and APIs. A strong TypeScript/Svelte background is highly valued.

We are looking for two full-time, permanent Senior Frontend Developer (all genders) t o start as soon as possible . We live remote-first within Germany , but you have the freedom to choose whether you want to work hybrid or completely on-site due to your proximity to one of our locations.

You’ll become an integral part of a new team which is going to be responsible for the creation and maintenance of Contabo's new product line. You’ll be part of a new team in a green field scenario making design, code and infrastructure decisions based on our product strategy and time-to-market.
We’re looking for brave, pragmatic risk takers who find a balance between speed and perfectionism, who participate in on-call but also proactively work with the team on improving the redundancy and up-time of our systems.

Your main focus is going to be on everything our customers can touch or use to interact with our platform – mainly GUI but also other cloud-native open source tools like terraform or CLIs etc, making sure we develop in the open with an active presence. You’ll be building on-top of an API teams and working closely with UX designers to build the best customer experience possible.

Since the product is new you’ll have the chance to develop from the ground up, develop fast, fix fast and bring learnings back into the team. Standardise API’s but also join in on shaping the design of the product with integration to design frameworks.

What convinces us

Your personality, paired with:

• TypeScript 5.9 – strong production experience, you use the type system to actually prevent bugs
• Svelte 5 including client-side routing (svelte5-router); deep prior Svelte experience is not required if you're strong in TypeScript and a comparable modern reactive framework
• REST APIs – building and consuming them; comfortable with APIs that are still evolving
• Docker, Webpack 5, PostCSS – containerized builds and frontend tooling are not foreign territory
• Svelte Material UI (SMUI) or comparable component library experience
• E2E testing with Playwright and/or Cypress
• Keycloak.js or comparable SSO/OAuth implementation experience
• Fluent English skills are a must have and German language skills are a plus
