Grob Aircraft SE, based in Bavaria, seeks a Senior Flight Dynamics Engineer to drive stability and control analyses, develop high‑fidelity 6DOF models, and support flight‑control development across simulation and test.

You will bridge aerodynamics, loads, controls, systems, and certification, delivering artefacts for validation and contributing to certification efforts in a cutting-edge AI combat aircraft programme.

Qualifications

MSc (or equivalent) in Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Mechanical Engineering.
5 to 10+ years of professional experience in flight mechanics, including certification work (CS-23/CS-25).
Proven experience in aircraft stability and control and handling-qualities assessment across handbook methods, simulation and flight testing.
Experience building and validating aircraft simulation models and processing aerodynamic data.
Experience supporting Fly-By-Wire (FBW) or flight-control system development.
Strong programming skills in MATLAB/Simulink and Python.
Excellent English communication and presentation skills for engaging with technical teams and certification authorities.
Experience with military aircraft (design, flight testing, or handling qualities).
Familiarity with system identification techniques and the use of flight test data for model tuning and validation is a plus.

Prepare and deliver technical artefacts for certification and verification: analysis reports and support for flight tests.
Develop, implement and maintain high-fidelity 6-degree-of-freedom (6DOF) simulation models for flight dynamics evaluations of fixed-wing aircraft.
Produce recommendations and design solutions.
Validate aerodynamic models (database generation/processing) from CFD, wind tunnel and flight test data.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Flight Dynamics Engineer to perform stability and control analysis, develop and validate aircraft models, perform handling-qualities analysis, and support flight control development across simulation and test. You will work at the intersection of aerodynamics, performance, loads, flight controls, systems, flight test and certification.

This role suits engineers with a strong flight mechanics foundation, whether your background is in civil certification, military flight test, simulation development, or flight control support. What matters is that you understand how an aircraft behaves and can model, analyze and improve it.
