Banyan Software, a fast-growing software consolidator, seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with operating and finance teams. The role covers revenue recognition, AP and expenses, cash management, financial reporting, and analysis across portfolio companies.

You will build dashboards, prepare GAAP statements, and contribute to M&A integrations while driving process improvements. Fluent in German and English, with at least three years in finance/accounting.

Qualifikationen

• Qualification / part-qualification from a recognised financial / accounting body.
• Solid working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with financial systems, particularly Oracle NetSuite.

• Fluent in German and English.

Description

This is an exciting, entrepreneurial opportunity to join a fast-paced software consolidator on a significant growth trajectory. The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Finance Manager or designee. This role will focus on partnering with operating and finance colleagues to support high-quality software businesses owned by Banyan Software. The position is ideal for an individual with the interest and aptitude to be involved in all aspects of financial operations, including revenue recognition, accounts payable and expenses, cash management, financial reporting and analysis, and systems. This finance group also aims to play a “value-added” role by leveraging financial and other data to drive shareholder value.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare timely and accurate GAAP financial statements, board reporting, budgets, and KPIs of operating companies to drive growth and smart decision-making.
• Perform quality assurance on finance and accounting work products (e.g., reviewing GL postings for accuracy, monitoring revenue recognition, refining variance explanations in reporting).
• Contribute to the operational performance of operating companies through analysis of budget-to-actuals, benchmarking against portfolio, operational revenue and expense analysis, and insights that further facilitate decision-making.
• Partner with M&A colleagues and support the operational/financial integration of acquisitions
• Implement process improvement initiatives contemplated in M&A business cases.
• Develop ad hoc reports & dashboards to help CEOs with monitoring their businesses.
• Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to promote best practices and efficiency across the portfolio
• Provide financial advice and guidance to the business as requested.d

Qualifications for success:

• The ideal candidate for the role will possess the following characteristics:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance/accounting role
• Qualification / part-qualification from a recognised financial / accounting body
• Solid working knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with financial systems, particularly Oracle NetSuite, would be an asset
