Jobtailor in Hamburg is seeking a seasoned PM/Portfolio Manager to partner with the VP Tech Product & Portfolio to structure, plan, and deliver strategic technology initiatives.

You will gather requirements, align Product, Engineering and Operations, manage risks, and prepare updates for the leadership team. Fluency in German and English and experience with Jira/Confluence are required. A track record in large-scale tech programs and strong execution focus completes the profile.

Qualifikationen

• At least five years of professional experience in top-tier management consultancy or in-house PM in a technology-driven environment.
• Solid experience delivering technology-intensive projects in consumer or operations environments, ideally in a scale-up.
• Strong ability to structure complex issues into concrete actions and project plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication at all levels, including executive level.

• Proficient with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• You work closely with the VP Tech Product & Portfolio and other senior leaders to structure, plan, and successfully execute strategic technology initiatives.
• You gather, structure, and design requirements for cross‑functional tech projects and ensure their successful delivery.
• You manage complex projects alongside and on behalf of Product Owners, coordinating stakeholders from Product, Engineering, and Operations, and ensuring alignment on shared goals, priorities, and timelines.
• You track project progress, proactively identify risks, and initiate appropriate measures to ensure delivery.
• You prepare management updates, steering committee materials, and decision briefs for the senior leadership team and actively support strategic decision‑making.
• You coordinate communication between internal teams and external partners to ensure transparency and efficient collaboration.
• You support the Tech Product leadership team with operational priorities, strategic analyses, and high‑impact ad‑hoc topics.
• You manage external technology and implementation partners, establish provider‑management best practices, and ensure high service quality.
• You support contract negotiations with IT service providers and accompany these until successful completion.

Requirements

• You have at least five years of professional experience in a top‑tier management consultancy or in‑house project and portfolio management experience in a technology‑driven environment.
• Alternatively, you have solid experience implementing technology‑intensive projects in consumer or operations environments—ideally in a scale‑up.
• You have a strong ability to structure complex issues and translate them into concrete actions and project plans.
• You demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and communicate confidently at all levels, including executive level.
• You work independently, pragmatically, and with a strong focus on execution and results.
• You thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment and maintain oversight even under high complexity.
• Ideally, you already have initial experience with technology, product, or operations projects.
• You are proficient in project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar systems.
• You have business‑fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
