Job summary

Strato Personal GmbH is seeking a Senior Engineer (m/f/d) for Electrical Systems to design and integrate aircraft electrical power generation and distribution systems. You will derive and verify requirements, conduct load analyses, and support certification activities with EASA and other authorities.

The role involves coordination with suppliers, managing change and risk, and delivering high-quality engineering work packages.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in Aerospace, System Development and System Integration.
• Experience in aircraft development or major modification programs with electrical power architecture knowledge.
• Experience with ED-79/ARP4754A, ARP4761 safety processes and certification (EASA Part 21J, CS-25/FAR 25).

Responsibilities

• Develop, design and integrate aircraft electrical power generation and distribution systems, including equipment, interfaces, installation requirements and system architecture.
• Derive, allocate, manage and verify system and equipment requirements in accordance with ED-79/ARP4754A, maintain technical design documentation and perform Electrical Load Analyses, protection coordination and failure case assessments.
• Prepare certification compliance evidence and safety assessments, plan and support design reviews, qualification activities, laboratory and rig testing, aircraft ground and flight tests, and coordinate technical reviews with EASA and other authorities.
• Manage technical coordination with suppliers, engineering partners and internal stakeholders, including supplier selection, specifications, deliverable reviews, configuration and change management, and assessment of technical deviations and risks.
• Ensure technical quality and timely delivery of engineering work packages, resolve production and in-service issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering methods, standards and tools while mentoring less experienced engineers

• Work experience in the field of Aerospace, System Development and System Integration
• Experience in new aircraft development or major modification programmes, with strong knowledge of aircraft electrical power generation, conversion, protection and distribution architectures, including practical experience in Electrical Load Analysis and relevant tools
• Experience in requirements management, verification and validation according to ED-79/ARP4754A, aircraft safety processes (ARP4761), and certification requirements (EASA Part 21J, CS-25/FAR 25), including preparation of compliance documentation and support of authority interactions
