STARK is a European defence technology company building the next generation of unmanned systems. The Electrical Subsystem Architect role centers on Gambit platform power, sensors, and avionics, delivering reliable performance under extreme flight conditions.

You will design high-density PCBs, define power trees, mentor engineers, and ensure compliance with IPC standards while collaborating with NATO partners in a fast-paced, R&D-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in hardware development for aerospace/robotics/automotive applications.
• Proven track record bringing complex electromechanical systems through schematic, layout, fabrication, and flight qualification.
• Advanced proficiency in ECAD tools (Altium Designer / KiCad).
• Deep knowledge of SMPS, battery management, reverse-polarity protection, high-current switching, and transient suppression.
• Strong practical experience with lab equipment (high-speed oscilloscopes, electronic loads, thermal cameras).
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Must be a citizen of a NATO member state (export control and security regulations).

Responsabilités

• Architect power distribution boards (PDB), avionics motherboards, sensor interface cards, and payload power supplies.
• Design multi-layer, high-density PCBs adhering to mass, thermal, and IPC-2221/IPC-A-610 standards.
• Own component selection, derating calculations, and power tree efficiency optimizations.
• Lead electrical integration, EMC/EMI shielding strategy, and ground-loop elimination across high-current powertrain and sensitive RF avionics.
• Define and document electrical ICDs interfacing powertrain, compute, datalink, and payload.
• Mentor junior and mid-level electrical engineers through design reviews and lab bring-up.

Your Mission

You own the electrical subsystem architecture of the Gambit platform — from high-voltage propulsion distribution down to precision sensor power rails and flight computer avionics.

You aren't just designing a circuit board; you are building the nervous system and power backbone that keeps an aircraft stable and responsive under extreme flight loads and environmental stress.
