HEADBORNE.AI in Jena, Germany seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and validate electronics for AI-enabled AR headsets used by first responders and defense forces. You will drive advanced sensing, SOC/MCU integration, and embedded power, crafting miniaturized PCBs from concept to mass production.

You will own end-to-end PCB development, define requirements, manage debugging, EMI/EMC compliance, and collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure robustness and readiness for field

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 10–20 years of experience in designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs.
• Experience with Cadence OrCAD (preferred), Altium, PADS, or KiCad.
• Experienced with FPGA devices and technologies.
• Proficiency in both German and English.
• Right to work in Germany, without sponsorship.
• Eligibility for German security clearances.

Responsibilities

About the Role

HEADBORNE seeks an Senior Electrical Engineer, to work with our Principal Electrical Engineer designing and validating electronics for AI-enabled AR headsets serving first responders and defense forces. You’ll drive advanced sensing, communication, SOC/MCU integration, and embedded power, crafting miniaturized PCBs for top performance and reliability. This hands‑on role spans concept to mass production: electrical design, integration, lab prototyping, field testing, and vendor collaboration. We seek a brilliant, motivated engineer to join TEAM HEADBORNE, delivering mission-based, safe AI solutions.

Required Qualifications
