A mining technology provider is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and specify the power and control systems for their machinery. You will work in project teams and lead technical coordination with colleagues and external engineers. Candidates should have a higher education in electrical engineering and knowledge of maritime installations is a plus. Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch are essential. This position offers a gross salary between €4000 and €7502, flexible working hours, and numerous benefits, including a training budget and ample vacation days.

Your job

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for independently designing and specifying the power, monitoring, and control systems for our mining machinery and subsea vehicles. You will be responsible for the electrical control and power philosophy, electrical systems, electrical instrumentation and automation. Additionally, you will prepare and attend tests during acceptance. The electrical, electronic, and data systems include everything from robust sensors to stand‑alone and/or integrated systems to achieve efficient operation and services by presentation and automation. Global lifecycle support, both remotely and on‑site, ensures sustainability and reliability. You will work within a team of electrical engineers and suppliers, with extensive internal and external contact with various people. You will primarily work in project teams, coordinating and directing colleagues and external engineers in a technical capacity.

Requirements

• A higher professional education in electrical engineering.
• Experience with maritime installations and interfaces is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Dutch, both orally and in writing.
• You are living in the Netherlands or you have a valid EU work permit.
• Awareness of the specific requirements for control panels on ships (electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), grounding).
