Job summary

Empiric Solutions is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead data centre projects across EMEA from concept through to handover. This client-facing role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to manage design teams and deliverables with quality assurance.

You will mentor support engineers, work with BIM technicians, and liaise with clients, architects and project managers while upholding industry standards and driving innovation in electrical building services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of Data Centre, Industrial, High Tech, Commercial and/or Healthcare engineering project experience.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
• Capable of taking the lead on projects with minimal input from management.
• Experience leading and coordinating an engineering team to successfully deliver projects.
• Deep understanding of CIBSE, BS, IS and EN Standards.

Job description

The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead Data Centre projects in EMEA. Our lead engineers are client facing and manage project delivery from conception all the way through to completion and client handover. The candidate must be technically proficient in their Electrical expertise field and have a wider knowledge base of other disciplines such as BMS/EPMS, Security and CSA.

The candidate must be able to work on their own initiative. As the role is client and design team principal facing, the candidate must have excellent communication skills, both verbal (English language) and written. The candidate must be well organised and competent in project design planning to meet our clients' deliverable expectations.

The candidate will manage a team of support engineers, BIM technicians and administrators to meet their objectives, and is expected to mentor support engineers for their professional development. Quality is core to our principals; the lead engineer will ensure that all deliverables align with our quality assurance systems prior to client issue.

• Any other engineering analysis software is an advantage.
