Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor seeks a senior Enterprise Data Architect to lead Snowflake data modeling, data cataloging, and governance. You will define standards, drive metadata quality, and align data definitions with business outcomes.

You will partner with Finance, Customer Success, Data Science, Engineering, and Operations to build an ontology and dictionary, establish lineage, and ensure compliant, scalable data platforms for enterprise reporting and analytics.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years in data architecture or enterprise data roles.
• Hands-on experience building or scaling data catalogs and dictionaries.
• Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse experience.
• Experience with metadata tools: Snowflake Horizon, Collibra, Alation, Atlan, DataHub, Purview.
• Healthcare data domain experience preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, HL7/FHIR is a plus.

Jobbeschreibung

• Establish and drive adoption of enterprise data standards covering naming conventions, business and technical metadata, data quality rules, and reporting definitions across Snowflake
• Select, implement, or extend a data catalog with ownership, definitions, sensitivity classifications, and usage guidance for core data assets
• Develop a shared healthcare-context ontology and enterprise data dictionary reconciling definitions across Customer Success, Finance, Data Science, Engineering, and Operations
• Define and implement data lineage standards tracing metrics and fields from source to consumption
• Partner with embedded analytics teams to align reporting definitions and develop certified reports and semantic models
• Serve as enterprise data architect for Snowflake data modeling, organization, governance, schema design, domain modeling, and platform architecture
• Translate between business concepts and data models
• Establish decision rights, change-management processes, governance forums, and a data council
• Report to the SVP of AI, Data & Data Science
• Operate as the senior-most technical authority on enterprise data standards, taxonomy, and governance
• Deliver an adopted enterprise data dictionary and ontology
• Build and maintain a live catalog covering high-value Snowflake datasets
• Document lineage for key reporting metrics
• Reduce duplicate or conflicting reports and metric definitions
• Establish durable governance with active stakeholder participation

Requirements

• Must reside in the United States within one of the listed eligible states
• 10+ years in data architecture, data management, or enterprise data roles
• Direct, hands-on experience building or scaling data catalogs, data dictionaries, taxonomies, or ontologies across a complex organization
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse, including data modeling, schema design, and architecture tradeoffs
• Direct experience with data cataloging and metadata management tools such as Snowflake Horizon, Collibra, Alation, Atlan, DataHub, or Purview
• Experience integrating legacy data sources such as RDBMS and with lineage tooling and practices
• Track record aligning functions with different vocabularies and incentives
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to facilitate stakeholder consensus
• Healthcare domain experience, ideally in healthcare revenue cycle, payer/provider, or patient financial services
• Solid data modeling fundamentals, including dimensional modeling, entity-relationship modeling, and semantic layers
• Familiarity with modern data stack components, including ELT/ETL, orchestration, and BI/semantic tools such as dbt, Looker, Power BI, or Tableau
• Senior individual-contributor experience representing data architecture in leadership forums
• Employment eligibility in the United States
• Successful employment-history verification and background check
• No current or future need for work sponsorship in the United States
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK and formal data stewardship programs is nice to have
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as X12, HL7/FHIR, CPT/ICD coding, and HIPAA is nice to have
• Experience with ontology or knowledge-graph approaches supporting AI and data science is nice to have
