Zusammenfassung

PROBIS Software GmbH in Munich is seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to own and shape our infrastructure. You will influence architecture, tool choices, and how we run Kubernetes, identity, and observability at scale, working directly with engineering leadership.

You will build IaC with Pulumi (TypeScript) and Terraform, manage AKS, implement CI/CD, and ensure secure, reliable deployments across frontend and backend services while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years in DevOps with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on IaC experience with Pulumi/TypeScript and Terraform.
• Strong Kubernetes and Docker experience in production.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to own and shape the infrastructure behind PROBIS. This isn't a role where you execute someone else's blueprint: you'll have real influence over our architecture, our tool choices, and how we run Kubernetes, identity, and observability at scale working directly with our engineering leadership rather than through layers of process.

Your Responsibilities

• Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture
  • Maintain and optimize our Azure-hosted Kubernetes clusters
  • Implement and refine Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Pulumi with TypeScript and Terraform
  • Design robust, scalable cloud architectures aligned with business requirements
  • Ensure smooth and reliable deployment processes, and implement build/deployment strategies that improve application performance (frontend and backend)
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of our microservices architecture
• Identity & Access Management
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Keycloak instances across environments
  • Implement federation with external Identity Providers
  • Configure and optimize SAML, OIDC, and OAuth2 authentication flows
  • Manage user federation, role mappings, and client configurations
  • Design and maintain custom authentication flows when required
• Data Integration & AI Services
  • Implement and maintain ETL pipelines for our own and external data warehouses
  • Configure and optimize text extraction tools for document processing
  • Design and deploy middleware connectors for external API integration
  • Support AI service deployment and integration within our application stack
  • Ensure secure and efficient data flow between systems
• Security
  • Establish and maintain our custom identity management system
  • Implement and enforce security best practices across the infrastructure
  • Configure and optimize network security with Cloudflare and Nginx
• Observability & Reliability
  • Enhance monitoring capabilities using Grafana, Azure Monitor, Mezmo, Lens and other logging/monitoring tools
  • Implement proactive alerting and incident response protocols
  • Optimize log management and analysis
• Collaboration & Technical Leadership
  • Work closely with out development teams
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering organization
  • Contribute directly to architectural decisions and technology selection you help set the direction, not just follow it

Your profile

• Must-Have
  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure
  • Extensive hands-on experience building Infrastructure as Code, ideally with Pulumi/TypeScript and/or Terraform
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments
  • Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong understanding of GitOps principles and modern Git workflows
  • Strong analytical thinking, self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • Excellent communication skills in English
• Nice-to-Have (a strong plus, not a dealbreaker)
  • Hands-on experience with Keycloak or another identity/access management platform, and familiarity with SAML, OIDC, and OAuth2
  • Practical knowledge of microservices architecture and service mesh technologies
  • Experience with data warehouse ETL processes and middleware integration
  • Familiarity with the React ecosystem and modern build tools (e.g. RSPack/RSBuild), or with .NET package optimization and deployment
  • Curiosity about AI service integration and text extraction tooling
  • Ability to optimize cloud resources for performance and cost-efficiency
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (or willingness to obtain them)

  • Either a Master's degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • Fast learner with curiosity about emerging technologies
