ZEISS Extended Reality (XRX) seeks an MSc-level optical metrology expert to advance image quality testing for AR/VR systems. You will design and refine metrology setups, implement automation, and collaborate with optics and systems engineering to define procedures and transfer methods to pilot and production environments.

Strong experience in imaging optics and metrology, hands-on lab work, and proficiency in data analysis are essential.

Qualifications

• MSc with strong, relevant optical metrology experience.
• Ideally a PhD in optics, physics, optical engineering, or related field.
• Years of experience developing custom optical metrology solutions, preferably focused on image quality of AR/VR or imaging systems.
• Strong background in imaging optics and image quality metrology (e.g., distortion, contrast, uniformity, artifacts).
• Very good English.
