Rocket Factory Augsburg AG in Augsburg is seeking a Development Engineer (m/f/d) with experience in structural and mechanism design to own cryogenic valve systems from concept to hardware integration and post-flight analysis.

You will work in a fast-paced, international team, create CAD models, define requirements, and collaborate with Propulsion, Analysis and Testing to ensure reliability while maintaining cost targets.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Aerospace engineering.
• 5+ years in design/development of valves.
• Proven ability to develop critical valves for flight hardware.
• Experience with cryogenic fluidic systems, especially liquid oxygen.
• Good CAD skills (Siemens NX or equivalent).
• Excellent problem solving abilities.
• Hands-on experience in testing or operation environments.
• Basic knowledge of launch vehicles and subsystems.
• Proficient with medium and high-pressure pneumatic systems.
• Business Level English.

Aufgaben

• Be the system owner of various cryogenic and non- cryogenic valves on the vehicle
• Take ownership of the entire product lifecycle from concept to hardware integration and post-flight analysis
• Define and maintain requirements with a strong focus on system-reliability

• Support the AIT team and resolve non-conformances
• Closely work with peers from Propulsion, Analysis and Testing

About the Team

We are looking for a motivated Development Engineer (m/f/d) at our home base in Augsburg with experience in structural and mechanism design and development. This is a rare opportunity allowing you to be involved in demanding development efforts that are supported by parallel test campaigns allowing us to close short-iteration development cycles at fast pace. You will work in a dedicated, dynamic and international environment that aims for excellence by creating high-performance engineering solutions while keeping production costs at an absolute minimum.

Your Tasks
