Zusammenfassung

Carl Zeiss SMT GmbH is seeking a seasoned IT professional to administer and expand Linux-based HPC infrastructure. You will plan, implement, and operate Linux systems and cluster solutions across virtual, physical, and containerized environments.

The role requires deep Linux expertise, AD/Kerberos, and automation via Ansible, with familiarity in SLURM, Apptainer, and Orcharhino tooling. German and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifikationen

• A completed IT-related degree or apprenticeship as IT specialist for system integration with additional qualifications such as IT clerk or Bachelor Professional.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Linux systems.
• Excellent knowledge of Linux, Active Directory / Kerberos, NFSv4, Ansible automation; ideally SLURM, Apptainer, and Orchestrator (Orcharhino).
• Good knowledge of networked and virtualized systems with VMware.

• Ensure 7x24 operations as part of on-call duty.
