Zusammenfassung

Xsolla is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage RDBMS and NoSQL deployments in our Berlin team. You will optimize performance, ensure high availability, and support development teams across environments from on-prem to cloud.

You will implement replication, partitioning, and back-ups, drive IaC automation with Terraform and Puppet, and collaborate with engineers to solve complex data challenges. Proficiency in English and Linux is essential.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Technology, or related field.
• Expert-level with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL; familiarity with other RDBMS/NoSQL.
• Strong SQL knowledge (DDL, DML, DCL).
• Experience with AWS or GCP; Proficient in Linux.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills; English at B2+.

Responsibilities

• Manage RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
• Ensure database performance, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery across environments deployed on bare-metal servers and virtual machines
• Implement and manage replication сhains, partitioning / sharding, backups
• Assist development teams in creating, optimizing, and problem solving with RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
• Troubleshooting
• Drive automation using Terraform, Puppet, and custom tooling for infrastructure and database lifecycle management

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field of study
• Expert-level experience with at least one of MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with other RDBMS or NoSQL solutions
• Strong knowledge of SQL (DDL, DML, DCL)
• Experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms
• Proficiency in Linux
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• English language proficiency at B2 level or higher
A plus if:
• Experience in scripting, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Puppet, Bash/Python)
• Team management experience
• Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or Zabbix
