PHOENIX International Holdings GmbH in Mannheim seeks a Senior Data Scientist (f/m/d) to lead AI product development and deploy ML solutions in production. You will work within the IT & Digital organization, collaborating across functions to translate business needs into data-driven AI initiatives.

Required: advanced degree and several years' production experience, strong Python, PySpark, Databricks, and Azure skills, plus CI/CD and MLOps; English fluency, German a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree or PhD in data science, CS, math, statistics or related field.
• Several years of practical experience deploying data science solutions in production.
• Strong Python expertise and modern data science ecosystems, ML frameworks, and distributed processing.
• Experience with cloud-based AI development, preferably on Azure, including APIs, version control, CI/CD and DevOps.
• Strong statistics and ML expertise, including Generative and Agentic AI.
• Good collaboration and communication in agile, cross-functional teams.

• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the continuous development of the AI Factory's capabilities and standards.
• Evaluate and adopt new AI technologies, trends, frameworks, and development approaches to continuously improve the organization's AI capabilities.

PHOENIX International Holdings GmbH is looking for a Senior Data Scientist (f/m/d) to join our international IT & Digital organization at our headquarters in Mannheim.

Your Tasks:

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning, predictive analytics, optimization, and generative and agentic AI solutions that address complex business challenges.

Your Profile:

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Several years of practical experience in design, development and deployment of data science solutions in production environments
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with modern data science ecosystems, machine learning frameworks, and distributed data processing technologies.
• Experience with cloud-based AI development, preferably on Microsoft Azure, including software engineering practices like APIs, version control, CI/CD and DevOps
• Strong expertise in statistical modelling and machine learning, with relevant experience in Generative and Agentic AI.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience in agile, cross-functional teams and the ability to translate complex technical concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in healthcare, supply chain, logistics, or pricing domains is beneficial but not required.
• Professional proficiency in English is required. German is a plus.
