Your future team

Join our Business Intelligence Department, a multidisciplinary group of analysts, data scientists, and data engineers. Together, we build ML features that directly influence GMV, conversion, and retention.

• You will join a cross-functional Product team, Search Intelligence, the team responsible for optimizing the ranking and the recommendations to our users visiting the website.
• You’ll collaborate daily with Data Engineers, Analysts, Product Managers, and Back-end Engineers.
• You’ll report to the Team Lead, Data Scientist.

Together, we turn data into actionable insights and innovative technology that powers how millions of guests find and book their perfect holiday home.

What’s already in production:

Booking cancellation prediction, churn prediction, contextual ranking, reinforcement‑learning ranking, property recommendations, time‑series forecasts, and causal inference models.

Your role in this journey

You’ll work on a wide range of topics, including ranking and recommendation models, user segmentation, lifetime value prediction, and business forecasting. With access to our extensive datasets and modern infrastructure, you’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across various departments to build data products that create real impact for our guests and hosts.

• Ship high‑impact ML features across ranking, recommendations, retention, and revenue management, driving GMV, conversion, churn reduction, and feature adoption.
• Accelerate experimentation and decision quality measured by # of successful A/B tests per quarter, time‑to‑decision, and experiment coverage of key hypotheses.
• Ensure model reliability in production, measured by online/offline agreement, model & data drift KPIs, latency & uptime SLAs, and automated monitoring coverage.
• Advance our MLOps practices with CI/CD pipelines, retraining workflows, lineage tracking, and documentation.
• Collaborate across various business departments to identify opportunities and solve critical business challenges using data science solutions.
• Design and implement advanced statistical models to analyze diverse datasets and solve critical business problems.
• Build and optimize ranking models, recommender systems, and user personalization models for use on our website.
• Take models from conception to production, continuously monitor their performance, and iterate to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Demonstrate leadership in data science projects, leveraging your expertise to drive measurable business impact.

Your backpack is filled with

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a proven track record of applying ML models to solve real business problems.
• A degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related field.
• Strong foundations in statistics, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques, with hands‑on experience using Python and SQL.
• Experience with Airflow and dbt is a plus.
• Experience working on ranking models or recommender systems is a strong advantage.
• Solid understanding of business operations and the ability to translate data insights into clear, actionable outcomes.
• A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for using data to build world‑class products that make a real impact.
• AI Proficiency: You are comfortable using AI to enhance coding, planning, and monitoring. This includes successfully integrating AI tools (such as Claude code, Codex, Copilot, etc) into your workflow and being able to teach others how to use these tools efficiently.
