We are looking for a hands-on Senior Data Scientist-Generative AI & Agents to join the Vendor Data Team. Your work will focus on building autonomous AI systems that generate prompts, utilize real-world actions, and validate outputs, moving beyond traditional research notebooks to shipped products.

The Agentic AI team

We develop next-generation AI-native products that reason, act, and adapt, leveraging large language models (LLMs), autonomous agents, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Our goal is to create dynamic AI systems that solve real problems at scale, treating LLMs as collaborators capable of self-evolution and workflow orchestration.

Responsibilities include:

1. Architecting and deploying agent-based systems with frameworks like LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or custom solutions.
2. Building and optimizing RAG pipelines, including chunking, embeddings, and vector search.
3. Fine-tuning and evaluating LLMs for accuracy, relevance, and factual correctness.
4. Designing prompt and memory systems driven by LLMs and user feedback.
5. Implementing simulation and feedback loops using judge models or testing harnesses.
6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams in product, research, and engineering.
7. Keeping up-to-date with research in LLMs, generative modeling, and agent systems.

Required skills and experience:

• Fundamentals of machine learning (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning).
• Data wrangling skills (Pandas, NumPy).
• Expertise in LLMs and NLP (Transformers, BERT, GPT).
• Prompt engineering and fine-tuning.
• Understanding tokenization, embeddings, and attention mechanisms.
• Experience with Hugging Face models.
• Evaluation metrics for generative models (BLEU, ROUGE, faithfulness, hallucination detection).

Nice to have:

• Experience with open-source models like LLaMA3, Mistral, Mixtral, or custom inference stacks.
• Knowledge of prompt injection defenses, output validation, or agent safety.
• Experience deploying generative AI in web or mobile products.
• Background in statistics, cognitive science, or human-AI interaction.
