As a Senior Data Engineer you will contribute to the development and execution of our data pipeline, from satellite data acquisition, to change detection (manual and ML-based) to insight generation, clustering and publication in our App. Automation is at the core of this role as we are in a phase of scaling up operations. Until full automation is achieved, it is also necessary to execute the delivery process, a task shared between all squad members.

• Automate individual steps (components) of the data pipeline and connect them with the overall system;
• Run the delivery pipeline during defined periods of responsibility;
• Debug issues reported during execution of the pipeline;
• Contribute to the overall pipeline system architecture;
• Contribute to the ML model development process by providing feedback on model performance;
• Work with data labelers on label management and labeling guidelines.

Your profile

• Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS is a big plus);
• Familiarity with workflow management engines (e.g. Prefect, Airflow etc);
• Hands-on experience with Python;
• Experience applying data architecture (e.g. ELT/ETL, data lakes, metadata management, etc.) to solve real-world business problems;
• Experience geospatial data processing is a plus;
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, accessible language;
• High collaboration and teamwork skills, empathy and approachability.
