Senior Data & AI Consultant

You will help clients turn their data and AI ambitions into measurable business value. Your work will span strategy, transformation, bespoke AI solutions, and platform development. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders and interdisciplinary delivery teams, identifying high‑impact use cases, structuring roadmaps, guiding delivery, and ensuring successful adoption.

Responsibilities

• Lead consulting engagements across data and AI strategy, transformation, bespoke AI solutions, and platform development.
• Identify value‑adding use cases, assess organisational maturity, and define and execute transformation roadmaps.
• Conduct use‑case discovery, shape product backlogs, guide delivery teams, and ensure solutions meet user and business expectations.
• Translate user and business needs into architecture requirements; define service and operating models; oversee delivery of data products and platform capabilities.
• Structure complex consulting engagements, steer project delivery, ensure quality of deliverables, and manage customer expectations and satisfaction.
• Facilitate collaboration across interdisciplinary stakeholder groups, bridging the gap between delivery teams (data scientists, data engineers, architects, software developers) and business stakeholders from CxOs to junior members.
• Support business development and sales by contributing to proposals, creating reusable consulting assets, and representing Zühlke’s Data & AI discipline as a trusted advisor and thought leader.
• Publish impactful content and speak at professional events to act as an internal and external ambassador.
• Develop reusable assets that improve team effectiveness, including packaged consulting offerings, templates, and demonstrators.

Qualifications

• University degree in business, STEM, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data & AI, with broad literacy across topics such as Responsible AI, Agentic AI, Data Mesh, and synthetic data.
• Hands‑on experience across the Data & AI lifecycle – strategy, governance, and management through to implementation and production.
• At least 2 years of consulting experience advising external clients.
• Strong consulting fundamentals: structured problem‑solving, project management, workshop facilitation, stakeholder communication, and proposal development.
• Experience across multiple industries and functions, ideally banking, insurance, life sciences, or manufacturing.
• Ability to inspire, build, and lead interdisciplinary teams while communicating effectively across disciplines and seniority levels.
• Fluency in German and English; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer‑centric, proactive, assertive, eloquent, enthusiastic, and results‑oriented mindset.
• Willingness to demonstrate skills through a role‑play exercise during the interview process.
