Mehrer Compression GmbH in Germany seeks a Senior Contract Engineering Engineer (m/f/d) to drive the development and design of reciprocating compressors and related systems. You will shape engineering standards and processes, taking technical ownership from concept through production.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, mechatronics or comparable qualification.
• Several years’ professional experience in the development or design of piston compressors, process compressors or similar machinery.
• In-depth knowledge of thermodynamics, materials science and mechanical design.
• Experience with standardisation, modularisation and modular design concepts.
• Proficiency in dealing with standards, guidelines and conformity requirements.
• A structured approach to work, a high degree of initiative and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Development and design of piston compressors, as well as compressor-based units and systems.
• Responsibility for machine concepts, from technical design through to production approval.
• Implementation of customer-specific requirements, taking into account standardisation and cost-effectiveness.
• Further development of modularisation, standardisation and modular design concepts, as well as associated design guidelines and variant logic.
• Ensuring compliance with standards, including risk assessments and conformity assessments.
• Technical point of contact for complex engineering issues.
• Further development of processes, methods and digital engineering solutions.

Job description

• Working hours // Full-time (40 hours/week)

Would you like to take on technical responsibility and play an active role in shaping the future of modern compressor technology? As a Senior Engineer in Contract Engineering at Mehrer, you will develop and design reciprocating compressors as well as compressor-based units and systems, and contribute your expertise to our machine designs, standards and engineering processes.
