Job summary

EY’s US Tax Team in Frankfurt/Main is seeking professionals to deliver high-quality tax consulting and compliance solutions for a diverse client base. The role focuses on cross-border and international tax matters, requiring collaboration with colleagues and clients to define deliverables, conduct research, and prepare tax returns.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in accounting (or related field) with a preference for a master’s in taxation or tax-focused law, plus strong German and MS Office

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in accounting or related field; master’s in taxation/accounting or tax-focused law degree desirable
• CPA/Enrolled Agent certificate desired but not required
• Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving abilities; good German language skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Interface with team members and clients to understand the desired consulting/compliance deliverables
• Analyze data, perform research, draft memoranda, prepare work papers/tax returns based on professional standards
• Determine the accuracy and completeness of the end product and perform quality assurance procedures

Your role

The US Tax Team at EY in Frankfurt/Main provides high-quality tax consulting and compliance solutions to a wide range of clients. Our practice is well established and the leader for US tax solutions in Germany. We have experienced, talented, and innovative professionals dedicated to teamwork and client service. The US Tax Group provides services in the areas of real estate, cross-border taxation of high net-worth individuals, mergers and acquisitions, related parties/controlled groups, foreign personal holding companies, passive foreign investment companies, controlled foreign corporations, as well as many other areas.

• Interface with team members and clients to develop an understanding of the desired consulting/compliance deliverables
• Analyze data, perform research, draft memoranda, prepare work papers/tax returns based on professional standards
• Determine the accuracy and completeness of the end product and perform quality assurance procedures
• Establish and maintain long-term working relationships with clients
• Share knowledge to develop professionally and enhance service delivery
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, a master’s degree in taxation/accounting or a law degree with significant coursework in taxation is desirable
• Previous accounting experience and CPA/Enrolled Agent Certificate desired, but is not required
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving ability and a commitment to learning in an international tax environment is important as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and good German language skills
