• Kenntnisse in Zahlungssystemen (SEPA, SWIFT, PSD2, Open Banking, XS2A, TIPS, T2S, EMV, PCI DSS).
• Starke Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift.

Aufgaben

• Entwicklung innovativer technischer/funktionaler Lösungen für Zahlungsprojekte.
• Anforderungen beim Kunden aufnehmen und präzise Dokumentation erstellen.
• Strategien für Zahlungsdienstleistungen und verwandte Kernbereiche entwerfen.
• Technische Umsetzung von digitalen Zahlungslösungen, inkl. CBDCs und Open Banking.
• Zusammenarbeit mit Blockchain-Institut, FinTechs und weiteren Partnern.

Senior Consultant / Manager – Payments Consulting (m/w/d)

Deloitte offers leading audit, consulting, tax and legal services worldwide. In the Banking & Capital Markets consulting area, we support financial service providers with digital transformations, process optimizations and new technologies. As a Senior Consultant / Manager in Payments, you will help clients implement future‑proof payment solutions, including the digital euro.

Responsibilities

• Konzepte entwickeln: You work on innovative technical and functional solutions that distinguish our consulting projects.
• Anforderungen analysieren: You determine client needs firsthand and produce precise documentation for all stakeholders.
• Strategien entwerfen: With your knowledge you develop new industry solutions for payment services and related core areas.
• Innovationen implementieren: You drive the introduction of the digital euro as a European CBDC, support clients in its integration, and develop solutions around wholesale‑CBDCs and other digital payment offerings.
• Impulse setzen: You shape the future actively, for example by collaborating with Deloitte’s Blockchain Institute, FinTechs or other innovation partners.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed a degree in economics, business information systems or a comparable field.
• Knowledge of payment systems (SEPA, SWIFT MT/MX, PSD2, Open Banking, XS2A, TIPS, T2T2S, card payments EMV, PCI DSS) and their processing flow (acquiring/issuing). Experience in the Merchant Payments space with POS systems, omni‑channel solutions, e‑commerce payments, wallets (e.g., Apple Pay, PayPal) and fraud prevention is desirable.
• Strong command of modern standards and technologies and a desire to actively shape payment trends.
• High engagement, independent and structured work style, and strong interest in challenging projects in complex environments.
• Extensive travel readiness and excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English.
